Collecting fake smiles on the streets of San Francisco with a Suer-8 camera, combined with slow driving shots of everyday business in downtown.

The title of the film is in the shadow of a reading of Gilles Deleuze’s book: “Masochism: Coldness and Cruelty” (1967) and the strange popularity of Prozac in those days.
