A New Beginning was a collection of several video installation works along with a single photograph that came together in a solo exhibition at the Stenersen museum in Oslo. The installation consisted of 22 individual projections. The videos were assembled as several smaller pieces and at the same time they created a large single work. Recorded in remote parts of Iran and composed with ordinary impressions, sound and images of A New Beginning lead a journey through the poetics of everyday life.

A New Beginning was also an attempt to explore the link between the cinematic and the painterly and the difference between the spatial experiences of the cinema and the museum.
